Core elements of the training

Chuck is one of the most senior Ashtanga teachers in the world! It is such a blessing to study with him and learn from his decades of experience. He teaches us to come with an open mind like a beginner, ready to learn and go deep!

* Course in Paris, in English.

Integrating traditional yoga philosophy with a technical approach to asana practice offers a powerful key to the experience of true yoga within you. Each afternoon session merges essential philosophy and theory with the exploration of your body and asana.

This intensive offers an opportunity to both experience and understand yoga as a living practice. Designed to establish and deepen your personal practice, the program also provides practical tools for sharing yoga with others in a way that is intelligent, sustainable, and embodied. Rooted in the Ashtanga Yoga system, this training approaches Ashtanga as a mindful, intelligent, healing practice rather than a rigid method. You will explore how to work with body, breath, and mind in an integrated way, and how to translate this understanding into effective, inclusive teaching.

* Course in Paris, in English.

Ashtanga was the first method of yoga asana that introduced the concept of Vinyasa – step-by-step gradual progression to the next posture while linking the breathing to those movements. Therefore, having a base of Ashtanga is very useful to feeling the natural linking together of different poses. During the week, in the morning Linda will guide you through a Vinyasa practice, so you can experience as many ‘sequences’ as possible. Then we will explore different levels of Vinyasa classes – Soft Vinyasa, Dynamic Vinyasa for levels 1 through 3, Beginners Vinyasa – what kinds of poses are appropriate, the essence of the class, planning a class and finally building around a theme action or pose.

* Course in Golfe Juan, in English.

The Ashtanga Second Series, Nadi Shodhana (meaning “nadi cleansing”), focuses on purifying the subtle energy channels that allow prana—the life force—to flow freely throughout the body. When these channels are clear, we feel vibrant and balanced; when blocked, we may experience fatigue or mental fog. Complementing the healing foundation of the Primary Series, this 35-hour training explores the energetic significance of the chakras and offers a safe, intelligent breakdown of the Intermediate Series postures. Through personalized adaptations, anatomical alignment, props and modifications, hands-on adjustments, and guidance on readiness for the series, participants deepen both understanding and practice.

* Course in Paris, in English.

Developing the eye and the intuition to determine how to assess whether to give a verbal or hands on assist to your yoga student is a life-long work in progress. In this week, we will work on our observation skills and learn how to give appropriate assistance that is adapted to the individual to have the best effects possible. We will look at key movements from the Ashtanga series that give us skills that can be transferred to a wide range of poses. Exploring different benefits of using our hands to help students in yoga asana, as well as, deeming when it may be preferable to use props or verbal cues.

The 4 live classes explore the Primary Series as a moving meditation, where breath guides the practice, steadiness stabilizes, and ease is cultivated within effort. Over four progressive classes, the sequence is built from foundational postures to the full arc, emphasizing breath continuity, intelligent pacing, and mindful receptivity rather than depth or performance. Developing sensitivity to the flow of prāṇa, learning where to ground, soften, and maintain clarity throughout the practice, experiencing the series as an integrated, meditative movement.

Pre-recorded sessions complement the classes, offering a complete immersion in the precision and progressive development of the Primary Series. Designed to build strength, flexibility, and endurance while remaining gentle on the joints, the course develops your practice layer by layer in a way that feels stable, inspiring, and healing. With mindful guidance, pose variations, and adaptable options, you’ll learn to deepen or soften the practice according to your body’s needs—encouraging sustainable growth and long-term self-discovery.

* Course online, in English.

This series explores how the Yoga Sutras of Patanjali shape the way we approach physical yoga practice — not as performance, but as a path toward inner steadiness and self-awareness. Each session includes learning asana related sutras, self-inquire, integrated embodiment in asana practice and a closing meditation.

* Course online (live stream), in English.

This is a 12-class pre-recorded program that helps you understand the Ashtanga Primary Series by focusing on shared core actions across poses. By grouping postures that use the same movements, you’ll see how one pose prepares you for the next, making the practice feel more familiar and less effortful. Each class highlights a key action and demonstrates how recognizing it in multiple poses reduces strain and confusion, deepening both understanding and ease in your practice.

* Course online, in English.

In this series you will be instructed on the practical anatomy around the given topic and how to better perform the asanas to respect anatomical alignment and movement in the body. It’s an essential companion to all dynamic forms of yoga asana to establish a long-lasting practice that brings us a healthy and intelligent body/mind relationship. The four sessions are: Safeguard my Knees, Safeguard my SI Joints & Lower Back, Safeguard my Shoulders, and Safeguard my Neck

* Course online, in English.

Immerse yourself in the fascinating world of Pranayama and Kriya with this very special course. Gérald will share with you his knowledge, helping you to progress in your practice and achieve mental and physical balance.
